Working Mechanism
When insects ingest the pesticide, Bacillus thuringiensis first acts on midgut cells, weakening the insect's immune system and making it more susceptible to SeNPV infection. The virus then replicates rapidly throughout the pest's body, rendering it incapable of harming crops. The infected pests eventually die and release viral particles through body fluids and feces, creating a chain reaction that controls pest populations over an extended period.
